How do they do the place cards?

How do they do the place cards?

When you invite a family to the wedding and they RSVP, how are the placecards done? Does it say 'The xxxx Family Table 1' or does it say each person on their own.. i.e. 'Mr & Mrs xxx', 'Ms.xxx' etc.

I hope that makes sense.

um how old are the kids?? if they are like over 18 i would give them their own card, if not the xxxx family would do!

i didnt have that problem but even as a kid I had my own placecard

I dont know.. its just a general question at this point because I was looking into place card holders... so i can spend more money on pointless stuff for the wedding!

If its a family I put on mine Mr & Mrs Smith & Family. I didnt list them seperatly. But i think it depens on the age too. If they all got one invite I say just put it on one place card especially if they are all sitting at the same table. Hope this helps?

Honestly it depends. how big is the card and how many guests do you have? If you have a lot of guests then I'd say to put the family on one card just to save room. The more place cards the harder it is for people to search through them for their names.

I've been to a wedding where they JUST put FH's name and not mine. I was confused for a second. I looked for mine. Then got worried (because I'm a dumb) and then just went with it. haha!

I think with weddings... ANYTHING goes! Do what's easiest for YOU!

If the kids are younger, like 17 and under, I'll probably put them on one.... but like for example I have two people living at home with their parents but they are like 25 lol so I will give them their own! Also bc they have dates prob!

I just went to a wedding on Saturday, it was FH's friend... and only his name was on the card.... I was like huh?? and realized I had my own too! I thought THAT was odd, but whatever!

and I would say depending on what your place cards are....if they are just paper ones maybe do ones for the kids but if they are more expensive...then one for the family

if they are over a certain age i would give them their own. i was actually criticized for not sending my cousins individual invitations so I made them individual placecards so my aunt couldn't say anything haha
