how do u handle when ur FH gives u compliments?

when FH compliments my looks I always think he is just saying that, same as I feel when my parents say that I look beautiful.
FH gets really upset that I treat him saying the truth so rudely in his opinion.

I dont know, its very hard for me to receive compliments, esp when FH gives them b/c I feel as if he has to say that cause his my FH

how do u guys handle that?

FH usually criticizes me in public and complains about me.. so when we're alone he compliments me im like yea yea whatever.. sometimes i smile. but usually i ignore him

i compliment him right back.. usually im the one overflowing with compliments towards him.. after a lil over 9 years he just rolls his eyes when i call him 'handsomeeeeeeeeeee' lol

i say thank you and smile sometimes even a little flirty giggle. anthony can come up the the cheesiest stuff sometimes, but i would never want him to stop!

Geremie is very genuine. like sometimes we would be standing somewhere in line and he just all of a sudden would turn to me and say 'u are sooooo beautiful '
its just hard for me to accept that, not sure why

When FH gives me compliments I giggle out of nervousness. He gets mad coz he thinks I am not taking his compliment seriously. I have told him numerous times that I just giggle out of nervousness. But he doesn't get it.

i used to be like that. i felt so uncomfortable. but i think after a while he kept telling me so much that i started beleiveing it. now my head is all gassed up lol. just try to accept it- its hard because this involves a lot of 'you' work kwim?

I understand that people feel that their significant other HAS to compliment them. But do you compliment FH b/c you HAVE to?
