Ok Ladies...how do u or did u know he's the one...and do u ever think about someone else, and said what if?

When I met him, I saw something I never saw before. Then right after our first date I knew he was the one for me. I had a feeling that I never had before. I dated a lot before him but this was different. I don't know how but it was. We clicked. Within a month of being together we said that we both felt it and that we had a feeling we would be together forever. Here we are 8 years later and about to finally fulfill our dream!

Bebalina- I get those dreams alot but usually about celebrities like the guy who is Clark in Smallville (yum yum) but I have had crushes for a week or 2 on guys while with my FH, it is normal. I started going out with Nick when I was 20... very young to think about being tied down forever. Since I have been engaged I havent had any of those feelings but I would have to say its normal.

As far as when I knew he was 'the one', it had to be when I realized I could be my wierd silly self and he actually liked it! I cant wait to go home everyday and tell him all the things that happen during the day. I wouldnt want to know my life without him.

Diamondgrlie- thank u so much... .see with my FH its exactly like u said....I can be my silly self, he'll never judge me and I know he'd never leave me unless I gave him an extreme reason to, but thats normal... anyhow..all of u ladies have made me feel soo much better, and i'm realizing this is normal, maybe not in all cases- my guess is since i've only been with FH and didnt really explore other relationships. maybe thats y i'm questioning, but it all makes sense now, i never bothered with others cuz they just didnt' have the qualities my FH does...lets hope this is the end of this... and if theres more nitemares i hope they're bout no hairdresser that day, or something like that- i can deal with those...
phew..... i just needed to get this off my chest to feel better....thank u sooo much!!

I just had a feeling at first. But I really knew on New Years 2000. We were at my girlfriend's in Boston inbetween parties. He fell asleep on the floor and my and my friend were talking. All of a sudden, in his sleep, he stretches out to grab me and pulls me close to him. That's when I knew.

He always made me feel important, special, useful and worth while which I know then 9 years ago that DH was the ONE for me. We did a lot of 'what if's' in guessing our future together as we both dreaming of it almost 8 years ago. In planning dinners either at home or going out he always try to make it prefect in finding the good restaurants at reasonable prices. He went out of his way to take care of me when I first got sick with a cold early in our relationship to get soup, my favorite CDs in his collection, and a little dolphin Beenie Baby which at that time we did not live together. He went to my mother's house to bring me all that stuff to take care of me-right then I knew he was the one.

Happily married for almost 2 years!

i just knew.... its a certain feeling..
also in the first 6 months i spent alot of time with him, and still wasnt bored, normally i got bored of guys within 1 month..

We had dated for 2 years, then broke up for 8 and a half but remained friends. During that time I was engaged twice, but kept breaking it off because no one was as good as him. When I tried to hook him up with one of my girlfriends, I realized I was still in love with him. I asked him if he would be interested in trying again, now that we were older and different people. The first time we kissed, I felt it from my head to my toes, and I knew that this was meant to be, and this time we would end up married.

Weird enough, but I knew the second I saw his profile online... he posted a pic of himself wearing a sarong, and I thought it was the most hysterical thing in the world, so I wrote to him... met for coffee... ended up talking for 5 hours and it felt like I had known him my whole life (even though he's from Israel, which you would think would put a major cultural barrier between us!)...I called my friend and told her I met the man I was going to marry...one week later, we both took our profiles offline, and one year later we were engaged!
