How do you..

polietly tell someone that they are not invited?

My friend emailed me today, asking me why I didn't ask for his address yet?? I went to school with him, and I'm not sure what context I should take it in.. whether he was joking or he was serious..

i have a feeling that i might be dealing with this shortly too. i dont know how to tell people but i guess you just have to explain that you wanted to have them but unfortunately it just wasnt possible.( whether it be budget related or for whatever reason). thats what im going to say anyway.

Wow. That question (that your friend asked you) is so rude, it doesn't even require a polite response.

Just tell him next time you see him that your wedding is smaller than you wish it could be.

I would say something like...

Although we would loved to have invited you and many other family members and friends, we had to limit our guestlist for financial reasons. We hope that you are not offended by this, we appreciate your friendship

Errr I hate when people say that!!! You can say your wedding is with immediate family only, or you can say that you wish you could of invited everyone but because of the size of your RH room you're unable to, you can say that some of your relatives weren't even invited lol thats what I'm saying oh well

guest list drama has pretty much taken over my life.. i can't begin to tell you some of the stuff i've been asked!!

We just kept telling people 'well, we really haven't figured out the whole guest list yet'.... not sure that we can still get away with that though
