how do you add texture

I bought these embellishments that looked like nice layered textured embellishments...but was so disappointed when they turned out to be just photos of them...

I am going to try to replicate them, but how/where do you get nice textured embellishments/papers?

Did you buy them online? That is one of my issues with not seeing it in person---

What kind of embellishments were on them? buttons, eyelets, brads, fabric?

Can you post a pic? I always see tons I love but won't buy them already done cause then I feel like it is cheating!!!!

Bazzill card stock, mulberry paper, embossed paper and vellum adds nice texture.

I also think paper tearing, the simplest of things, does wonders for a layout, tag or what ever you are working on.

btw - I did the same thing with RS Fresh cuts. Boy was I disappointed when I got them. I used one in a layout thought that looks nice, or I think so anyway

Those look pretty easy to duplicate. It looks like felt sewn onto cardstock with a button stuck in the middle.

Now you're pushing it

The cute as a button one looks like felt and layering.

The Love one looks like patterend paper and stitches drawn on them to look quilted. Same for th epuppy and true love ones. Michaels has mini clothes pins if you wanted to make a clothes line in the last one.

I think I have the pink heart/Love one too.

I bought these buttons that are real (not just a picture of a button) and they just stick on. They look real good & are a lot easier than sewing the buttons onto the pages.
