I have always just used them threw them out and bought new ones...but now Im buying more expensive brushes and I know they are supposed to be cleaned weekly..does anyone do this, if so..HOW? I heard dish detergent???? Thanks in advance!!!

I use a spray I got from sephora. I spray the brush and then swipe in a tissue until no more color comes off.
I dont do it every week...more like when I remember. I am bad

I use shampoo, but i don't do it enough you are supposed to do it weekly.

I didnt know sephora madea spray!!! Thanks!! And I didnt know about the shampoo either. Im afraid ill use too much shampoo !! Ill giev it a shot, maybe Ill try the spray and the shamppo and see what I like better!!! Thanks so much for the ideas!!!
YEA! Do you guys use Johnson and Johnson?? How long do you clean them before you buy new ones??

Definately J&J.... It depends on the quality of the brush. My good brushes I have had for years.....I have some brushes from Ulta that I have had for 8 months & I wil probably throw them out soon. When the bristles start to look like dead ends it is usually time to get rid of them.
When the stores have the extra-gentle or sesitive formuls of J&J I buy that. It smells less than the original.

Quite a while.... Bobbi Brown is a good quality product. I would say at least 2 years.
