I'm trying to decide on floors & paint colors. How do you ever decided what to choose when there is just way too many choices? Every room needs to be painted & new floors. Most of my furniture is wood, a little darker than a natural color. Should the wood floors be darker? How did everyone pull it all together?

I'd say go with natural wood on the floors. As far as the paint colors go, you should go with whatever matches your furniture and the decor (accessories) that you have... HTH

i liked mixing woods so my furniture is going to be a darker wood then my floors. i picked pain by just looking at samples and trying to picture the color in my house. ben moore sells samples know and there like 3 or 4 dollars so you can buy a few and put them on a wall and see if you like the feel for your home.

I personally like darker floors. I went with provincial. The only color darker is dark walnut.

Our floors are a natural wood color. As far as paint colors on the walls, I taped paint swatches to the walls and let them sit for a few days before deciding which I liked best. You can also do Benjamin Moore color samples which allows you to paint a 2 foot by 2 foot section of a wall to get an idea.
