How do you determine flip flop sizes, if you don't ask each guest?

How do you determine flip flop sizes, if you don't ask each guest?

Do you think in terms of 9-11 for guys and smaller for gals?? Possibility Debi will put them into OOT gifts. Mary MOB

i believe average shoe sizes are 9-11 for men
and 6-8 for women

i know that slipper sizes come in like S M and L
maybe flip flops do too? if so i'd get mediums
