How do you do it?

For those of you that only see FH a few times a week, how do you do it? Do you fear moving in together and not having your separate spaces anymore?

YES I freak out about not having any place to 'go'. What if I'm mad at him... and he's RIGHT. THERE.

at first i only saw FH on the weekends because of our schedules. then it progressed to him staying with me every weekend and coming over after work and school. even if it was only for 30 minutes to see each other. eventually, he just never left and that's how it's been for about a year. i wouldn't change it - i'm glad that we did it so we can handle living with each other

My FH and I moved in together after only 3 months of dating (I had problems with a roommate and got evicted). We lived together for 3 months before he moved back to NYC- we were in Buffalo at college. Then the next 18 months were long distance, and after that- we had our own apts. Last Aug I finally moved in and I wanted to kill him! We were both set in our own schedules, it made impossible to live together. But we toughed it out, and have been living harmoniously together for over a year. The next step is a house....and I cant wait!!!

FH and I do not live together, but i am not worried about how compatible we will be when we do move in together. I don't fear losing my 'personal space' because we won't be working the same hours anyway so i will probably still miss him! lol.

FH and I live about a half hour from each other, so we normally only see eachother weekends. we are both teachers so during the summer we see each other all the time, september is so difficult getting used to seeing eachother only on weekends. we talk several times during the day.

i don't think it will be hard when we move in together. we both know each others little quirks and are some comfortable with each other that i know we will be fine.

I cry and spoon with a body pillow at night and pretend he's holding me.

It's horrible... We have only been like this a few months but we are so sad. In December he will be working my hours and we'll be together again.

We love our 'me' time so it kind of works out that FH is a nypd officer working nights, and I'm a nurse working days. Our jobs really have us understanding each others crazy schedules, and we see each other for like an hour and a half a day most days to eat dinner together & then he's off to work.... We thought the schedule conflict would be awful, but it's really working for us and I guess it could be worse.

My FH is going to be A cop too!! Are you a nurse or a med assist?
