I am trying really hard to buy a crib. I just don't know how I feel about buying one on-line. I found one at Babies R Us that seems nice..but there are a few others I like. On Pottery Barn Kids and Poshtots....But those I can't really SEE....How different can they be? Do they all 'work' the same?

They all work basically the same. If you've put one side up and down youve done em all. I think its all about the style you want.

The thing I liked to test was the way the side came down. The cribs in the stores have been shaken and moved around so much that I don't really do a shake test since I doubt it is very accurate with all the wear and tear a store gets.

and what about these conversion ones? The ones that 'turn into' a toddler bed? Is that worth it?
I am REALLY sorry for all the ??'s. I know this has all been covered in old posts. I am not even too lazy to look through them. I just can't seem to find the answers I am looking for!

Re: how do you feel about not testing a crib
Jenny, Paul has a conversion crib. I will buy a bed rail - not a whole new toddler bed. I just felt the investment was for his entire childhood and into teenage years, since it can also convert to a full sized bed.
We will probably do the same thing for Baby #2 someday.
