How do you get your birth certificate?

My mom needs to get her birth certificate and I have no idea how she can do that. Does anyone know?

I think you can get one from the Town Hall.

I was born in West Islip (Good Sam) and got one at the West Islip Town Hall. I think it cost me $10.00.

You have to go the town hall where you were born, show your drivers license for proof of who you are and pay $10. If you were born out of state you can just call them, fax your license and do a check or cc , and they will send it to you. HTH

depends on where you're born. I just got one -- I was born in NYC. If your mom was born in one of the 5 bouroughs, FM me and I'll be happy to walk you thru it.

I got mine from the office of vital records

New York State Department of Health.

Vital Records Department....It takes a few weeks
