Girls who say they are coming to your shower...and then dont show up , dont call., never acknowledged the invitiation, last minute cancellations...
My mom paid for a couple people that didnt show and I just think thats rude as hell., how do you handle this?

My mom had a few girls not respond to the invite so my mom hunted them down. All of them except for one said no. We had one last minute cancellation and what we did was invite someone else to come like my dad was invited to stay to take pics. If someone else cancelled FH would of stayed, etc.

this happened at my SIL's BS...
we just let it slide. it cost us $$ but what can you do??

Depends on your relationship w/ them---can u ask them why they didn't come w/out them getting all pissed off?
I've heard that happens a lot more with weddings! At my friends wedding, 20 people were no-shows. How freaking rude!

Call them and talk to them. Something could have come up and now they feel embarrassed to call you.

Yo, that is AWFUL! I did that to my cousin and felt horrible. I think I got sick the day of or the weather was bad and I couldn't get out to LI, but I called and sent her gift the next day. I couldn't imagine just not showing up!

I would maybe just ask her what happened and why she couldn't making it. Say that everyone was expecting her and were sad to see she didn't make it. Then maybe she'sll have something to say for herself.

I would approach them and find out why they didnt come. Maybe they were sick or something came up.

you definitly have those people who do not respond who you have to chase down with phone calls...i would say call them it stinks its like wasting money for no shows

My mom said if this happens, she's gonna personally call the people who didnt show up and tell them how much she paid for them and how she would appreciate being reimbursed for there plate, and Im all for it! screw that!

I Agree that is so rude, but it does depend on your relationship with them. I would def ask what was up

a shower is different bc its so close to the wedding. but for a few people that did that at our engagement party, i tentatively took them off the wedding list. so they didnt get the save the date and i am waiting to see if they mention it... if not.. .then i saved money in the end.

would it be rude if you dont invite them to the wedding- because that's totally what I would want to do! or did you already send your invites out? if you did, I would ask- maybe something happened?
