How do you keep your jeans from shrinking in the wash?
If I hang dry them, they are all stiff and really wrinkled. Then I have to iron them. If I put them on low heat to dry them, they still shrink. What the *&)(*!

Wash them in cold water, and then partially dry them with a dryer sheet. Hang them to dry the rest of the way (they should be moist to the touch but not dripping wet).

I do the opposite - wash in cold water, hang them and then when they're almost dry, throw them in the dryer.

How long do you put them in the dryer? 20 minutes? 1/2 hour? I'll give it a try.

I wash them with warm or cold water, NEVER hot, and then dry them on the delicate cycle.
For things like PJs, which seem to shrink in length only and turn into capri pants after one washing, I hang them up to dry. But jeans are just too stiff for me if I don't throw them in the dryer.

Usually about 10-15 minutes on high, just to get the excess moisture out and get the dryer sheet working on it to keep them soft.
And, hang them on a clip hanger, opened up, not folded over on the hanger. This keeps the wrinkes away! I'm wearing a pair I did this to this weekend and they are smushy and soft, and comfy, and not wrinkled.

I always hang them to dry and then put them in the dryer on de-wrinkle with a fabric softener sheet and they are fine.

ditto! except for my stretch 7's. They get so stretched out, I have to shrink them back to size...so those I put in the dryer.

I also wash in cold and I never dry. The stiffness wears away soon after I put them on and I iron everything so I don't mind ironing. I just can't risk them shrinking esp. in length...
Re: How do you keep your jeans from shrinking in the wash?
I have an air fluff on my dryer...no heat...just air...after they dry naturally I throw them in to fluff them up...
(Lisa Rose taught me this)

Marcellabella, with the extra starch, don't they come out a little stiffer?

I always wash COLD, and never dry my 'strech' jeans. HANG DRY & they are never stiff or wrinkly, maybe it depends on how smooth your dry them or your detergent???
My regular levis, espress, old navy etc I always dryer dry
