that you've found your wedding dress? I hate shopping and found a dress I truly love on my first day out there. I'm sure there will be more true love dresses out there if only I keep looking. What makes you stop and say...'this is my dress'?

Re: How Do you Know...
I bought the first dress I tried on, Itried on about 20 after but went back to the first one.
I do feel that if I kept looking I could have found more that I love b/c there are soooo many beautiful dresses.
I guess I felt good with my choice and didn't feel like looking any more

I'm not sure....I had that ooo I love this dress feeling and then had a wow, this is a really nice dress feeling....and went for the 'really nice dress' because everyone else said it looked better. But, I'm just a very indecisive person.
I've heard a lot of people say 'you just know when you put it on that it makes you feel great'.....why keep looking once you get that feeling, ya know

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!! You cant force it, that feeling just has to be there when you put it on and see yourself in the mirror with it

Re: How Do you Know...
It weird how I found my gown...lol
Someone told me about the Rosemary Leigh- I looked it up on the Maggie site and I fell in love- I at least had to try it on.
I went with a friend of mine to try that gown and two others on at Lillette's- I came out of the changing room with the Maggie on and my friend's jaw just dropped open and she went 'oooh'. I tried on two other gowns - they were pretty but I didn't like them as much.
I went to David's Bridal and I tried on about 10 gowns there but I kept going back to that first gown- Rosemary Leigh.
I knew it was the one as my aunt also saw me in it and got all choked up somewhat seeing me in it.
I kept dreaming about it and also kept comparing other gowns to it. I couldn't find anything I love more.

I bought the third dress I tried on. i fell in love and that's that. But, I'm typically like that...I don't second guess my feelings. I say if it felt right, it's your dress. somehow...you just know.

exactly.
I only tried on about 15 dresses.. but when I put on the one I bought.. It was the first one that I actually felt like a bride.. and not just some girl trying on a pretty dress. I didnt want to take it off.
sorry if that only makes sense to me..

Re: How Do you Know...
I ended up getting the second dress I tried on (well, not counting the first place I went to where I hated all of the dresses). I wasn't sure and wanted to see what else is out there, but I kept comparing every dress to that other one and none were up to snuff. I also went back to try it on a million times haha.
There are a few dresses I've come across on here that I didn't try on that I also love, but I do think my dress is the right one for me. Plus it made my family and friends cry, and I didn't want to take it off!

Re: How Do you Know...
I knew it was my dress because that was the only dress i could picture myself marrying my husband in. I tried on close to 90 dresses after that to make sure that it was the dress i wanted and every other dress i put on was compared to that dress. Thats how i knew.
