Is this a stupid question? FH has had a child, so I think we're OK by him, but I've never been pregnant, even when there have been 'accidents'
How do you know if you're fertile, is there any bodily signs? I have always been menstrual regular if that helps. Is there a test I should do b4 TTC?
Thanks

Re: How do you know if you're fertile?
Liz, I think you might really benefit from reading the book, 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility.' It is very informative and actually teaches you how to be more aware of the changes your body makes throughout your monthly cycle. There are three specific ways that a woman can tell if she's fertile on any given day of the month - 1) presence of fertile quality cervical fluid 2) waking temperature 3) position and softness of cervix
The book explains it all in detail, but you might want to check it out now - it will help you in your journey to TTC.

Re: How do you know if you're fertile?
I am glad I am not the only one. My DH tells me that I just like to find things to worry about. I definetely agree with temping and charting. It is a pain but it is a great way to be sure you are ovulating and that your luteal phase is normal (14 days from ovulation to period). Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a really helpful resource. Don't let your DH read it, though. There is one part that talks about checking your cervical mucus and has an illustration of a woman squatting and checking it- my DH was so grossed out he almost wanted to stop TTC!
