How do you leave a deposit??

I'm going tonight to leave a deposit for my RH. How did you leave your deposit?? Check, cash, credit card, etc.. Thanks!!!

DH was paranoid and always wanted the cancelled check as proof as well as the receipt.

i left cash...My RH only takes cash or checks, no CC's and alot of them have this policy actually. I always get receipts when i make payments

for our RH they allowed a check for everything up until the finaly payment. Then it had to be given in cash.
Most vendors will ask for cash as well.

My RH asked for a bank check as our final payment. We have several thousand dollars to pay the Friday before the wedding (like $7 or 8k!) - I'm not carrying that much cash anywhere!

RH in credit card. Everything else in cash. Make sure you get a receipt as to what type of payment you used and how much.

Some RH will let you put the deposit (only the first one) on a CC, some only accept checks, money order and cash of course.

Best thing is to call them and ask before you go there.

we paid credit card (for miles) but the next and final payment will be made in check..just incase

Okay we booked We left the deposit on a check. Now we don't have a payment plan. We just have to pay 70% by 8 weeks before the wedding and the balance a week prior.

If you have an American Express card (or any other credit card with a loyalty program) it's a good way to accumulate points/miles and you can still pay it off at the end of the month so that you don't have a bill. That's what we did. We had enough points to pay for our honeymoon airfare to St. Lucia.
