I know that usually people hand the brides the cards during CH but I dont want to walk around with cards, sort of the point of having the cardbox haha.
Do you just plan on telling them theres a place for them in the Reception room? Is that mean? I just started thinking about this hahah

If they hand my a card Ill give it to the DOC to put in the box. I know a lot of my guests will know about it already.

I think a lot of younger people would know to do that, but my mom said that its traditional for couples to hand the envelope to the bride and groom. I wouldn't be surprised if you still get a couple of old schoolers that refuse to put it into the box!

I am just happy people are giving me a card LOL
I will take it and put it in the box myself
If I get some during cocktail hour i will just hold on to them or hand them over to my sisters or mother to hold for a bit

at my friends wedding in OCtober..
She didn't 'tell anyone about it' but no one handed her cards during CH.
During the beginning of the reception people handed her and her DH cards and she dumped them in the box.. otherwise I'd say about 50% walked up to the box and dropped it off themself.

I told my BP where to put them so when people saw them putting it in there they would know my grandma also gave us a gift so it was near the box letting people know. I did have a few people ask where and we pointed it out and then some older couples who gave it to us personally.

People figure it out. I was at a wedding last year and I knew there had to be a box somewhere and there it was, next to the cake- a great spot because you always look at the cake

We're going to have it displayed on a little table near the cake I think so it's pretty central and people will hopefully see it

I think people will just look for it or they will hand you the card personally and then you can put it in the box.

Just place in it clear view for all guests and if anyone gives you a card you can always place it in the box!
