I say koopon... my grandma said kyoopon....

but she also pronounced every syllable in beautiful (bee-you-de-ful) and in comfortable.... I just say 'comf-tah-ble'

(I also say coopies if FH and I are being silly and cute -- our nicknames for each other used to be goob, it has since evolved out of control.... )

Haha FH says 'dolphins' weird. He pronounces it 'dalphins'. I make fun of him all the time.

Also when he says the actual letter 'h' (like if you asked him to spell house) he says 'haych'. That's an Irish thing though because his whole family does it.

hahaha thats funny... does he have a brogue? at an old job a lot of the Supers that had brogues would pronounce H that way too...

His parents do, a heavy one! I still have to strain to understand sometimes. All the guys from work have brogues, too, so sometimes when he comes home from work he has it. But then I make fun of him and he talks normally again.

the 2nd is (in my circle) usually an indicator that your fresh of the boat! ahahaha

my mom always said kew pon. so i said it like that for a long time...then i realized it was spelled 'cou pon' so i changed

Same here. The Q sound really irritates the he** out of me! I don't know why! I also hate ve-hi-cle! Why must the h sound be singled out??
