I find this so obnoxious!

Some people also ask how much we will pay per plate...WHY??? so you know how much to put in the envelope??? I can't believe some people have the audacity to ask these questions. Absolutely no common sense.

I hate it also when they put there ring up to your and then ask?? is it a competition? I love my ring and thats what counts.

I just tell them..Most of time they try to guess and I have to correct them so I guess that is their easy, slick way of finding out. Tacky to ask, yes but.....some people dont care or think before they speak.

I have had no one ask me that. If they did I would tell them its none of their buisiness .

I think it's tacky!!! People ask me all the time how much a plate I am paying. I answer but sometimes sarcastically. Alot of people are just so damn materialistic.

ugh people are rude.

I have had cashiers at the mall or food store compliment me on my ring and then ask how big it is!!

oh and I usually reply by saying, 'oh i dont even know, I never bothered to find out because I love it so much'

so funny you should say this i got this question today. she said oh is it Xct. i said 'oh around that' that is what i usually say. Or else i just say im not sure.

It's so freakin rude when ppl ask these questions. I've been getting the hall question nonstop lately. I just say 'It's a pretty good price'. What is this need for everyone to know everything about???? Nosey ppl

I can't believe all of you have gotten asked these questions. My goodness the audacity of some people. If anyone ever asked me about my ring or the price pp I would stare at them in shock. The only think I ever had anyone ask me was one of my students who said 'did you want a bigger ring?'

Look, each of our FH's I am sure got the most beautiful ring he could for whatever price range he could afford. Is it the size of the ring that matters, or is it the love he has for you. Its absolutel ridiculous that people equate the size of the diamond with the amount of love your man has for you. My mom didn't even get an engagement ring because my dad couldn't afford one. Yet they will be married 30 years next month. THe engagement ring is about what it represents, not the carat weight of the diamond.

ive never had anyone ask me...but id tell them...and then be like WHY?

No harm in telling them. I love my ring and its not like I brag about it everywhere. JMO

the only people who haved asked are family so it doesn't bother me. but i had someone i work with tell me my ring was 'cute.' i found that really rude

I only got that question once. I told them I wasn't sure (which was true!). I loved my ring just as it was and I didn't really care to know the carats - they thought it was funny that I didn't even know!

I hate when people are nosey! I do have to admit that in my head I sometimes think about the carat size of rings I see but I don't ask the person! Its one thing to be curious...another thing to be nosey!

i think it is so rude but i tell them because i dont care if it came out of a quater machine..it means something to me and my fh. plus size doesnt matter about the ring....

I tell them, it's big enough and about what I paid for the hall...I tell them to guess.
