I knew the moment I met him when I was 15 years old. You just know.

I knew when I was in this little car accident the night we celebrated my birthday in Manhattan, 2 months after we started dating. I was crying my eyes out because I had never been in an accident before. The cop actually thought I was hurt because I was crying so much. My FH (boyfriend at the time) just kept saying 'Baby, look at me - are you okay, Beautiful, look at me - are you hurt?' He was just so good and I felt so safe that he was with me. I think that was my moment. (by the way... the accident TOTALLY wasn't my fault... the jerk came into me).

I have to say I guess it was really a 'love at first sight'. I was working at Staples when I was 17 for about 5 months when a new guy started working there. It was his first day and I remember telling my other friend who was working there that I was going to marry him one day. I was in another relationship at the time that was on the fritz anyway, so I broke up with him and started dating FH the next week!! That was 7 1/2 years ago!!

Because of the way he treats me...ever since we were 15 years old and he still does it to this day! I love the simple things that he does like the other night we were out and he saw I was cold so he just takes off his sweatshirt and tells me to wear it - i didnt even have to say I was cold - i love when he just does things like that

I definitley love Libby's story...that's hilarious. Mine isn't too romantic either. My FH and I met on the crazy party scene while we were both in vacation shares, but coincidentally we lived about 10 mins. away on L.I.. We would hang out every weekend at the vacation spot. Finally, he asked me out on a date for when we were at home. He had just gotten out of a horrible relationship and he told me before the date 'I do not want a girlfriend so don't think this is more than it is.' Thanks, jerk! But I was okay with that b/c I didn't want to be his rebound either. 2 weeks later he was introducing me to everyone as his girlfriend (totally freaked me out ... not ready), 1 week after that he told me he loved me (again, I freaked out...hellooo I hardly know this guy!) and a week after that he told me he was going to marry me. I didn't freak out so much that time and the next day I told my mom I was going to marry him. One month and 3 days into our relationship, I knew he was the one. Our story is not something I will tell my own daughters b/c I would never want them behaving the way I did, LOL, but it worked for us. Even though we are two totally different people and bump heads on many issues (for example, he despises white collar workers...hi, I'm an attorney), when it comes to values, beliefs, etc. we fit, we work and agree. But man, when people say relationships are work, they are not kidding!

There are many reasons that I know he's the one, but the first thing that popped into my head when I read this post is that things that bothered me about my exes, even things that caused me to end relationships, don't bother me about FH. I love so many other things about him, that those few flaws are meaningless. I know that probably sounds horrible, but I always used to get bored with people, or just had no patience, but with FH it's completely different.

when you have been with enough wrong ones, you just know when it feels right. It's the easiest thing ever!
