I'm so confused!

There are so many computer experts on here, I figured I'd ask.

I'm trying to copy tracks from different audio CDs and they need to saved as a wav. file (for another program), but I don't know how to do this.

you have to download seperate software to make it wave..but if you put the cd in and use windows media player and press the rip button, it will make it WMA...which is a different format like mp3/wav/etc...

once you have everything you want off the various cd's...you can burn the cd in windows media player also

I do it in iTunes or WMP. I don't knoaw how to amake it a wav though. Does it have to be a wav specifically? wavs are low quality, and I think relatively large compared to other file types. I'm not an expert on this, I only rip CDs to make new CDs or for my iPod, so I don't know much about the process in general/

ETA; you may be able to convert a .wam or a .mp3 to a .wav file, but I don't know!
