When all you do is pay vendors all the time. I feel like I shouldn't have to pay them a dime on my wedding day since they've been taking all my money the whole time lol...

I think so! I have already made one payment to my RH and I have another due Feb 1. I have my first photo/video payment due in March.
After that we don't owe anything until right before the wedding...

Re: How do you save for a wedding
Save? Money? What are those things?? All it seems is we are putting out more and more money, but i guess thats the way it is when you are booking vendors...I have one more payment to the hall that is scheduled and then after that i dont have another one until may 2009...
I think i am going to go have another anxiety attack over paying for this wedding now...

Agreed - it is so hard to save for this wedding!! But I am happy that we are on a payment plan for the RH whereby most of it will be paid off by right before the wedding. Now - I just have to worry about the other vendors.....ugh - I swear - it is so stressful even thinking about the $ part of it!

we haven't either...we gave an initial deposit for our RH and a deposit for the dj....nothing else due for awhile.

Re: How do you save for a wedding
I give all you girls and guys so much credit for being able to save for a wedding in these times. I feel guilty at times that my parent's are paying for everything, when I know it must be such a struggle to do it for yourselves.

Re: How do you save for a wedding
what is this 'saving' you speak of?
Seriously, money gets tight (like, $50 between both of our accounts) and I get a letter from the Fox Hollow and an email from Duet reminding me about payments.

Re: How do you save for a wedding
I'm sooo worried about money- and we've only booked 3 vendors so far (church, RH, and photo/video). Still have to put deposits down on everything else

Re: How do you save for a wedding
I'm definitely stressed about that too. We are paying the RH monthly, which I love because we will have almost nothing left by the time the wedding gets here (we booked 2 years in advance!), but I feel like I barely have enough to make DEPOSITS on other vendors, let alone regular payments!

Re: How do you save for a wedding
Totally stressing the whole paying vendors junk. so far we booked the RH Church and dj. Thankfully the reception hall is on a payment plan and we don't have to pay them in full till the day of the church is the day of and the dj is the day of. But the photo video is payment plans its impossible to save and have a wedding its like an oxy moron.
