How do you tell someone you are engaged now if you got engaged....

...in April.

One of my friends was also FH's ex (I introduced them and encouraged them to date and then got jealous because I realized I wanted to date FH myself). I see her occassionally at the horse farm where we both ride and I talk to her on the phone maybe once a month. When I got engaged in April I don't know why, but I didn't call her and tell her. I am not sure why, but I didn't.

I just got off the phone with her and she told me that one of her friends got engaged. I feel like telling her that FH and I got engaged, but don't know how to do it. Any suggestions?

FH doesn't talk to her at all and I only see her at the farm, the one place I don't wear my e-ring.
