How early can you HEAR the heartbeat?

How early can you HEAR the heartbeat?

I have an appointment tomorrow and I am wondering if we will be able to hear the heartbeat with the doppler. I will be 9 weeks. We SAW the heartbeat at 6 weeks, 6 days on an ultrasound, but I don't think they'll do another ultrasound tomorrow. Just wondering what I should expect.

They probably wont do another sono. You MAY hear the heartbeat but its so small at this point some docs (including mine) dont want to listen for it till 12 weeks because in case you dont hear it they dont want to freak you out.

I heard the heartbeat with the sono machine at 8 weeks but My doctor's machine is very advanced. I know my sil doctor couldnt hear it at 9 weeks with her machine. My doc uses the 3d 4d machine for all sono's
