How early is too early.....

I'm working on my sample for my invitations that I love so much, but the wedding isn't until OCT next year, Is there a such thing as ordering invitations too early, if so when do you suggest I order them???

I don't think there is a such thing as too early. If you find something you like you can just hold on to them until you're ready to send them out. I'm all about getting things done early! lol

I think there is a thing as too early. You would be surprised how what you want changes over the course of a year and a quarter! I'm not saying wait to order your invites, I'm just saying as someone who as gone through the process and gotten married, your opinions can change throughout the planning process. Some people even change whole themes, and color schemes! Think it over, talk it over with FH, and see what you think is right!

I wouldn't order the invites now for your October 2010 wedding. A lot of things can happen in that time (i.e. church or Reception Hall may need to change times). You may find something you like more. But if you absolutely love them and are the invites of your dreams, then get them because they may be discontinued later on.

I would wait a little bit, but definitely keep your eye on them so that if you see they are being discontinued and you are positive nothing will change you can purchase, or when it gets closer (like June 2010) you can buy. Plus you can use them to compare with other invites you see. You might find something you like better

If you are working with someone individually see if she can just hold your spot until closer to your date.

I would wait..... I had to change my reception hall with 4 months to go and was so happy I had not ordered the invitations yet.

I would wait. I just doing invitations now because we got final permission to move up the time of our ceremony from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm and I am so happy. Because of this change I am glad I did not do our invitations early

I would wait, you may change a time, I did , I changed the time of my church 2 mths ago ( i would order 8 mths before or after your 1 year mark)

We probably won't be ordering until after the new year for our July wedding. I just want to be sure that nothing changes...I'd hate to spend a couple hundred dollars on something that might turn out to be useless.

I would def wait on it.. so many things can change from now til the wedding.. and even different ideas can pop into your head.if you are dead set on what u want then i guess it doesnt matter but i personally would wait. JMO.

I would say make sure your guest list is final before ordering your invitations. And also I would say make sure your ceremony time is definite.

I would wait a little while. The church moved our ceremony time up a half an hour seven months before the wedding. It was not a problem b/c we had not printed the invites yet. I would wait until at least 5-6 months before your wedding.

Thanks ladies I guess I was just so excited with everything finally coming together, I spoke to my vendor and I have decided to wait til next year sometime.

As someone who nearly ordered her invites a year plus before the wedding, I say wait! I waited and found another invitation designer I love!!!!!!!

As long as you have a safe place to store stuff. I think you can ordered things as soon as you want. I would wait till you are past the year mark in case you change your mind on any of it
