Hey girls I'm getting married Sept 2012 and I feel like its way early to book things so I'm wondering what you all have done so far?

RH, clergy, photography, dj, wedding dress, favors, save the dates, uhhh i think thats it..

Oh thats right! I do have a dress... and I have hot pink shoes! lol!!

I love hot pink shoes!!!! i did hot pink shoes for my eparty and im prob gonna do them for the wedding too!!!!!

haha yay! I couldn't stand the idea of having white shoes, so I have a pair of flats that I LOVE, so I ordered a pair in hot pink, already have them. I'll prob have to get another pair bc I don't know if I can wait a year to wear them.

LOL yeah I was the same way with my shoes for my eparty! I could not wait to wear them and I wear them every chance i get!!! Im not huge on white shoes and I prob wouldnt wear them again.

we have our RH, Church, my hair/makeup booked...and I've purchased little things like ring bearer pillow, FG tote, etc. just to keep me excited along the way

I'm still looking for RH (ceremony at same place). I looked at Land's End, going to see Venetian Yacht CLub and Crestwood Manor. I know that I'm gonna use Tommy Tunes and use Legend Limos. Photographer/Video is whats taking some time.....Any recommendations??

From looking on here I really like Thomas Paul and lighthouse photography but to save money I will probably go with my personal friend who does photography.

Does ur friend have her own photography place? I need to stick to a budget (I don't know what a good price is to keep for as budget). But I don't want to get horrible pics and video.

He doesn't have his own place but he went to school for photography. My only concern is that CLM wants every vendor to have a proof of insurance and idk if theyll let him do it. =o(

I'm really wary about having a friend or family member act in place of a vendor, especially in photography which i consider one of my most important things.

FH's good friend just got married and they used a mutual friend to do the photography. And although he's good at what he does, there was nothing super special about it, and because he was a friend, he 'enjoyed' the wedding a lot more than an actual professional would. FH immediately said he would never do something like that.

All places require proof of insurance. I'm sure it will be fine. Just ask Nick.
