How far in advance...

Do you go to look at and book your florist?

I basically know when I should be booking all my other vendors but I feel clueless as to when is the right time to start looking at florists!

I booked mine about a year in advance.

ETA: But, I live about an hour an a half from where the wedding is so I wanted to try to book all of my larger vendors when I was out there for something else.

My wedding is in October and I still haven't booked mine, lol. I also still need limo and hair. I better get my butt moving!!

my sister is starting to look for pricing info. she is getting married in Oct 2008. She probably won't book though until 1 year before unless she finds someone she reaaaaaaaally loves right away.

I booked mine 5 mos in advance, but I only had 6 - 7 mos to plan.

ditto, haven't booked mine either, or the limo or gotten flowergirl dresses, or gotten my invites... i'm so far behind! had a bad dream recently about being totally unprepared! :D

I booked my original one a year and a hlaf in advanced. We ended up changing florists, so my new one was booked a year in advanced (to the day!)

i waited to book my florist until i had a good idea of what my colors would be, the BM dresses were ordered and i had printed out pictures of what i wanted. i booked last month and my wedding is November.

I booked mine in October '05 for my September '07 wedding. I was very excited to do it and am happy I did it so early. One less thing to think about.

depends who you go with....i booked mine as soon as we got engaged because i knew i wanted to use her and she already had bookings for '07!!!

my wedding is in november and i still haven't booked one. mainly b/c i thought i was going to do centerpieces and boquettes/boutineres on my own. i realized last nite that i think i need to hire a florist for the centerpieces b/c i don't know the first thing about table decor! anyhow, so many people plan weddings in a short period of time so i bet you can get someone to do it on any length of notice.
