...did you block your hotel rooms???

as soon as you know how many ppl want hotel rooms. everything wedding related should be booked asap, in my opinion

I blocked mine in the summer cause the wedding will be on a holiday weekend

The day I booked my hall at one and about a year in advance at another one.

I just started checking on the place we want to block rooms at figuring we have ample time but they told us they are getting busy because the NYC Marathon is the day after my wedding and we're booking a hotel in Queens near where the runners are. The sooner the better, I would suggest.

ASAP - 2 years in advance.

The Inn at EW only has 50 rooms so we had to block right away. All of the rooms are taken for the night of our wedding now- we have about 30 and there is another wedding there that night. We just recently booked another block down the road though- so that was a year in advance

We are in the process of signing the contract with our hotel and our wedding is in September. We need about 50 rooms for both nights so I wanted to ensure that they had the rooms available.

It never hurts to do things early.

I booked mine in November of last year....You can book them as soon as you want...Although, the lady that helped me at the Marriott, said that you need to book at least 4 months before your date and your guests have to respond to the blocked rooms by 4 weeks to your wedding date...
