How far in advance???

How far in advance???

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me how far in advance you booked a few things, so I can get an idea?!?!?!?!

a) florist
b) videographer
c) officiant
d) blocked hotel rooms?
e) limo's
f) purchased dress
g) honeymoon

I actually booked all of the above already. I started as soon as we got engaged in August. I wanted to make sure that I got the vendors we wanted. Good Luck!

The earlier you book, the less it will be in most cases. If you book in 2003 for 2004 some places will give youthe 2003 prices. However if you wait until 4 months before and they aren't booked, they might reduce the price to get the date booked- but you might not get the vendors you want. As far as your dress, some designers can take up to a year to come in- most say about 5-9 months. When you do go dress shopping, try to negotiate the price and take pics if they allow.
