How far in advance do you order invitations?

How far in advance do you order invitations?

How long does it take to ship to you?

I'm afraid to order them too early. Knowing me, I'll spill something on them, step on them, wrinkle them if I have them in my apartment for too long before actually mailing them out.

I have 8 months til my wedding...

Should I order them around the 6 month mark?

I would think that would be OK, I guess depending on how long your printer needs to make them...

I don't plan on doing anything myself.

Maybe FH can handle doing all of the printing to envelopes. Yes, I think that is a good idea.

Received them about one week after I ordered them. Got them in July. Sent in August.

They come in pretty quickly the hard part is finding something you like...I would start looking now and then wait to order them.

We are getting married on the same day.

I am thinking of ordering them in November. I already requested some catalogues to see what I like. I want to have them somewhat early so I am not rushing at the last minute to get them done.

I ordered mine about 6 months in advance. They came in a week later but, needed to be sent back because of an error. I got them 3 days after that with a number of apologies.

I didn't start working on the envelopes until about 2 months after they were received so I was really nervous about keeping them as well!
