I think I registered too far in advance, I picked BBB and Linens and things and Fortunoff - because only LNT had my dishes. Now, all three have my dishes so I could have just done BBB and Fortunoff or done crate and barrel instead (didn't want more than 3 stores).
Maybe just create a small registry with things that you know you will want (i.e. at BBB) and you can always add stores and stuff and make changes when it gets close. You should def look when its about a month before your shower because stock does change at each store.
