How far of a drive from ceremony to reception?

Hello all,

I am starting to research places to hold my reception, and I have come across a strange question I keep asking myself...

My ceremony will be at Queen of the Most Holy Roasry in Roosevelt, and like I said, I am not sure where the reception will be yet. But how far away should the reception be from the ceremony? A 30 minute drive? 20 minute? If the reception is in Roosevelt, would say a drive to Flowerfields in St. James be too long?

Opinions, and ideas are very welcome.

The drive is about 1 hour. I have taken a leisurely Saturday AM drive, as well as an OMG it's rush hour and I have an appointment and need to get there drive. Both times it took an 50 minutes to an hour.

My ceremony is in Manhattan and the reception is @ Chateau La Mer. So, it's a pretty long drive...1 hour to 1 hr and 15 mins.

i think mine is about 40 mins.. but 98% of our guests are from west of the church so they have to travel east to the Church then more east to the reception..
