To me, it really depends on what the commute is like and how good the job is. I don't mind driving. If there was no traffic, I would drive an hour to an hour and a half for a GREAT job. For a job I hate - 5 mins A half hour in traffic the whole way would drive me NUTS so that's probably too long no matter how much I like the job.

It depends what the salary is, my tops is an hour but if it paid really well I would go further.

i actually travelled about 2 hrs and 15 mins on avg to this job i absolutely hated.. now i moved to another job and i love it!

After having the experience of working in the city for the last year, and having to commute into the city for school for the last two years, I'm topping out at 30-35 minutes. Anything longer takes up too much time when I could be sleeping later, going to the gym, getting more things done, hanging out with FH more, etc. You never realize just how much time is sapped up by commuting and work until it happens to you!

I traveled about 1 and 1/2 hours each way to a job I loloved in Queens. The copmmute got to be too much so I got a job on the island and took it. Now my commute is about 45 minutes but I don't love my job as much!

salary would be a major factor. i already commute a lot though goign at least from queens to garden city and some days to courts in bronx, broolyn, mahanattan or suffolk like today so when i factor that in I commute quite a bit

My commute is 1.5 hours each way.

My commute is about 2 hours in each direction...totally not fun, but WELL worth the money!

My commute will be about 50 minutes, going to a job that I enjoy...I think it also depends on how much you like the area that you live in and are unwilling to move!

I commute between 45 min- 1 hour now. I go into Manhattan a few times a month and when I get home, I'm just drained (I live in Suffolk). It's hard enough to come home, cook dinner and get stuff done as it is, so I wouldn't do any longer that what I do now.
