My son who is 4 1/2 months old, is so much better than he was, he was extremely colicky. He has many more happy moments, but he is still fussy at certain points in the day. The doctor had told us by 4 months this usually goes away. I'm curious.... are there babies that are happy all the time? Is it normal for a baby to be fussy everyday, several times a day? Thanks!

Re: How fussy is your baby on a daily basis?
My son is 5 months old - he is pretty much happy most of the time, except for if he is hungry or tired. Recently he had been really fighting sleep, mostly naps...he fusses for about 5 minutes before passing out. Also, we took him to the dr. last week because we suspected that he was teething - he has been just crying out for no reason, especially during feedings - the cries last only a minute though. The dr. said he is just beginning teething and had a little fever...Do you think your son could be teething? Also, some babies just fuss more than others - for no apparent reason.

Re: How fussy is your baby on a daily basis?
My 4 1/2 month old son is a happy baby, he fusses at the normal stuff, 'feed me', 'change me', 'put me to sleep'. He started teething just before 4 months (no teeth yet though) and has been a little more fussy than usual when his teeth are really bothering him. [He's also been drooling, and chewing on everything he can... especially his fingers/hand!]
