I feel the same way....I spend more time on this website instead of myspace and I read Bridal magazines instead of dance ones.


Plus, I get to call John my 'fiance' not my 'boyfriend' which I really enjoy

Honestly, getting engaged hasn't really changed my life much. We've been together for 12 years and 9 years ago we exchanged rings, so we've already been wearing wedding bands for all this time. Our first date was on 8/13, so we celebrate our anniversary on that date every year. And I can't remember when I didn't get a card that did say, 'For my wife.' (And I get him 'husband' cards).

Everytime people would ask, 'When are you guys going to get married?' Our response was always, 'In our hearts, we are married.' And I think we definitely proved that over that years. I stood by him when he had his cancer scare 7 years ago and now he's taking care of me while I have cancer.

For us, it's just a matter of making things legal.

not much has changed...finacially, it's a little harder now but i couldn't be happier because he's my best friend and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Let's see I finally have a ring on that finger.....and I know that'll be spending the rest of my life with him. I always stressed about money so that isnt new.

a little more stressful... dealin with his no help tryin to plan a wedding is sooo not fun... he use to help with everything.. now cuz 'he got me' means he doesn't have to do much.. but i'm starting to get him back on track
