How I told DH...........
You guys had some great ideas but I had to go to work after I posted and don't get internet there and since I'm a pharmacist I can't leave to run errands so I really had to improvise and some up with something last minute (should have called in sick).
So on my very short lunch break I inhaled some food and ran to the book store and got DH a expecting book for Dad's and had them wrap up because he has been talking about some novel for days now so he would totally think it was that.
Then I did the overused I love my daddy bib thing.
I bought two cards. One had a little baby on front and said Congratulations...inside it said On your newest reason to smile and I wrote We did it! You're going to be a daddy. I managed to shove the bib in that envelope.
We met for dinner after work and when we sat down I said I got you a little present today and he was totally unsuspecting. He opens the card and pulls out the bib and still didn't get it. he thought I was just being silly and planning for what I want. Then he 'got it' and was so happy and shocked and excited and even a little emotional. Of course I teared up.
The other card was a funny card. On the front it had 2 crabs and it said Thanks for loving me....inside it said...even when I am crabby and then I wrote, I can't promise it will get any better.
So not the most original but it was the best I could do with no time to plan. I was our very special moment and we are very excited!
