my fitting is Sat. and i don't have shoes yet thank you

You definitely need them so they can sew the hem and bustle!

They are very important because they will determine where the bottom of the dress will hang for hemming.

you need shoes because it will depend on the height of your heels the hem that they need to make--unless you know what heel height you are going to wear, then you could just bring other shoes with the same height

Some places won't fit you unless you have your shoes!

If you have any kind of detail on the bottom, you have to. But 1st fitting means you ordered the dress already? or are you going there to try it and then put the order in?

If it's your first fitting, that means the dress was made already and therefore, the hem is done

you need the shoes. i also told them i plan on changing into other shoes later in the day.

aaaahhh.... I checked DSW - not too many options in Brooklyn... i'm going to try Macys after work. I really wish i had more free time.

They are pretty important cause they need to know your height the day of - to sew the hem. If you know you are going to get a certain height heel, you could maybe wear another pair with the same heel height.

yup...you gotta have them...they may not even do the fitting if you don't.

u must have your shoes!! the seamstress has to hem your dress.

I didn't have mine for my 1st fittin geither but I brough a pair of shoes that were the same heel height that I wanted.

very. they can't pin your dress to shorten w/o shoes.

If you want to wear high heels, at least go to the 1st fitting with a pair of your shoes that have a similar height. If flats that shouldn't be really a problem.

I didn't have my bridal shoes at the fitting ... I just bought them after. They are not actually bridal shoes, cause I want to be able to wear them after the wedding also.
