How important is it that BM shoes match?

How important is it that BM shoes match?

Should they really all have the same shoe? Or would it be OK if I just told them all to get a silver strappy heel?

I'm just telling my girls to find a pewter colored sandal they like.

Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do. Just say silver strappy...have fun. I was a little worried because they are wearing tea length dresses but now I'm like it's not worth it if they're going to be uncomfortable.

For me it depends on the situation...when my wedding was in july and my colors were different, I was having them wear gold strappy sandals and I was going to let them choose their own, but now, I want their shoes to match the color of the bm dresses as closely as possible, so I think I might choose their shoes....

so if I were you, i'd probably let them choose their own shoes because it's easy to find silver shoes and they all tend to be close shade-wise...

eh.. i say let them choose their own shoes.. folks have different kinds of feet.. what one can wear another can't.. for me personally i know my heel limit is 1.5.. my best friend.. nothing under 3 inches.. it's a long day u'r asking them to commit to and if the shoes are uncomfortable it will be a MISERABLE day for them..

nope.. i let them pick the shoes they wanted..

My girls are wearing long dresses so I'm letting them pick any silver open toe shoes they would like.

I'd rather they be comfortable (I know I like shoes that others may not and vice versa) and I'd hate for them to already have shoes they like and then have to buy new ones. Some of them already have silver shoes or can borrow them.

I'm not having them dye shoes because it would be hard to get shoes the right color and they wouldn't be able to wear them again. I want my BM's feet to be happy and dancing!

However, if they were wearing short dresses I might be more inclined to have them match. I probably wouldn't, but I'm glad I'm not in that position.

if they have long dresses it doesn't really matter all I would worry about is the comfort of the girls and that they all have the same color thats about it

as long as they match the dress ... or at least go with the color scheme.

i think making all the girls wear the same shoe is kind of bride-zilla-ish (unless its a tea length dress, where you'd see the shoes ... and even then, i a bit)

you want your girls to be comfortable. the same style shoe and heel height isn't comfortable for everyone.

let them pick their shoes, they'll be more comfortable, and therefore happier, and more likely to be smiling in your pictures

Majority of the time, you can't even see the shoe when it's floor length dresses. So just telling them the color to get, but letting them pick it is the best way to go!

I think just the same color, not the same exact shoe is fine.

I told my girls to get pink shoes. Whatever style floats their boat.

Especially if your girls have long dresses, it really doesn't matter what shoes they are wearing. No one will see them.

i told my girls to get silver shoes. i didn't specify what kind of heel or anything. I think it'll be fine, especially since my girls have floor length dresses.

i wouldn't fret, their shoes are not going to matter to anyone but you and them.

who cares if their shoes match? the only time anyone will see all the shoes lined up is during the ceremony....trust me - it does NOT matter....

let your girls pick their own silver shoe - they'll appreciate you for it!

I think I'm going to either ask my BMs to wear black shoes...however, I saw some inexpensive silver shoes and may get them for my BMs along with a shawl for their gift.

that's what I did....unless the dresses are tea length I really don't think it's an issue....and even if they are tea length, I think you could still get away with strappy silver heels They might already have some and they'll be so much happier!

I don't think it matters....I'm having my girls wear whatever shoes they want. They are all getting strappy heals, but with the dress, they can get away with either silver, black or dyeing it to match the purple in the dress.
