How important is it that BM shoes match?

Should they really all have the same shoe? Or would it be OK if I just told them all to get a silver strappy heel?

my BP is wearing burgandy and I asked them all to wear black shoes, either satin or velvet, no leather.

I don't really care what style they are as long as they are comfortable.

i think its more important that they are comfy

agreed..were having long dresses and the shoes arent going to show..and if im wearing 8 yr old sneakers..why should i care what they are wearing

I agree with the other postes, give them a color and have them pick it out. A certain height of heel may be good for one and not the other so it's easier for them to stick to a color guide line.

I prefer when the don't match exactly. Everyone has their own style and I want my BM's to feel awesome.

Debi told her BM's to get silver shoes; I don't think she specified any style, but suggested they have a heel, that doesn't get caught in the dock. Mary MOB

I am having the girls wear black heels that they would match to the dress. I dont think it is a big deal

Comfort beats out matching. Tell them a color and let them work out what they feel good in. (if it's something outrageous though... definitely speak up)

If they match and are uncomfortable, it'll show. I don't even remember what shoes I wore to my wedding let alone what other people's bridesmaids' shoes looked like.

I don't care, I just asked for silver open toe. my dresses are full length, I told my BMs that I have so much more to worry about than shoes I will hardly see!!! so they can at least like them

Since the girls are wearing floor length dresses I told them the color of the shoe and they can get the shoe that they like. If I went for a shorter dress I was going to look for matching shoes....

i was a bridezilla and orgininally wanted the same shoe and same color. I think it looked messy in pictures with people all wearing different shoes. Plus i have been in 7 weddings and was always told what shoes to wear....

Anyway to make a long story short i have decided to let them wear what ever shoes they want but they will all be dyed at the same place so at least they are all the exact same color.

I didn't think it was that important...i just told them to wear black shoes. My sister/MOH ended up wearing peep toed pumps and the other bridesmaid wore strappy sandals. I thought it looked cute in the pics that they didn't match!

I TOLD THEM TO JUST HAVE STRAPPY SILVER HEELS.. THEIR IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT,,

I'm letting my girls (mainly because all but one is OOT) just wear whatever shoes they would like to wear with the dress they chose (all the same color though that I told them) so that way they become more individualistic in a way but looks coordinated because they're all wearing the same color dresses- all the dresses are long as well so it really won't show anyhow.

I just told my girls to wear a gold shoe with a heel whatever they have. My BM dress is pretty expensive so I didn't want them to have to pay for a shoe as well. Plus the dress covers the shoe so I don't know it didn't seem important to me.
