How In the World do You....

pick your wedding colors? We are getting married in August and i have NO IDEA how to put some colors together. I really wanted to have a beach theme, and we will most likely be at the VIP country club which is on the LI sound, but not really 'on' the water- so i was thinking becahy colors in place of beachy items...any suggestions on pretty summer combos would be appreciated. Thank you

what are your favorite colors? or what colors do you think will compliment your BP? try to start there - and go with that

my colors are teal and taupe/or ivory

i love blues - so i had to pick a bluish color!

and btw - i went to VIP for a wedding - and that place is gorgeous - and the food is yummy!

Honesly...I'm so fickle I change my mind quite often. Which is why I'm doing champagne for brides maids dresses..that way when it gets closer..what over color kick I'm on then...the color I choose to go with it will match because its neutral.

I'm having champange dresses too....I have NO idea about the rest of the colors, but I guess that will go with anything.

papaya is also a very pretty summer color(like an orange)we just picked some of our fav colors that go nice together (blue and purple)

I havent decidd on colors-or should I say not really!
I picked colors that matched the room our reception is and colors that will look good on my BMs-im bad with the whole not clashing thing

oh! i have a date twin - kind of....my bm dresses are sage w/an ivory sash

colors have been giving me a lot to think about as well...

my BM's are in navy so i can pretty much use any color scheme that i want...currently i like the idea of deep pinks and purples, but who knows...while it will be winter i want it to be bright and my favorite color is pink

(I had thought about not having pink involved in wedding but haev since changed my mind, its hard not to use your favorite color in some way

)

I decided to go with a theme wedding bc I needed to keep things focused, if I didn't I would be all over the place. I am doing a champagne themed wedding so the colors will be champagne, ivory and gold with hints of green and yellow.

Ours is my favorite color and FH's color in pastel/spring colors....

Lavendar and mint green

and mostly lavendar (my favorite color)

well I decided on the time of year, the type of affair and what I loved.
so I kept it simple
black and white w/ red accent

for you I have to agree w/ Nicole (Shorty) the tangerine combo she suggested would be great around then and so much color would be so fab!!!

go w/ your favorite colors first and work from there!
