How invloved is the FH?!?!?!

Hey Girls.. So i consider myself veryyy lucky my FH wants to be very involved in everything. which he should be its his wedding also! We are only 2 months into our engagement and i have a feeling once things start to get very detail he might slowly step away! But, as of right now i have a little bit of a Groomzilla on my hands lol! Im already being told he wants 80's music played ALOT at the wedding and i picked out invited for the engagement party and we have to have them costum done. he is a graphic artist which comes into use with planning a wedding i see i am thankful.. BUT the invites need to be out this weekend and he is just finishing up the design .. im praying we get them to the printer and out on time! As he keeps telling me all the things he is having at the wedding i just keep asking him.. will i be invited? lol

So to my questions.. how are all the FH dealing with the planning?

We're 6 months in and he's the one that keeps insisting we need to get stuff done... cause he knows if he leaves it up to me, we'll have to do everything after th ebar exam in August and he doesn't wanna wait. So I'm very lucky

Hmmm....
Well I have not started... but I think he will be like 30-40% involve in helping me out with the wedding...
He says as long as he is Marrying me it dont matter if we have a BIG wedding or a SMALL wedding... as long as we are together and have fun!

So I dont know how everythign will turn out....

So far, we both look at thns for the future.... we both sharing our ideas... but I dont know how eveyrhign will turn out in the future jaja...

He's been SUPER helpful - he has been a great resource and a voice of reason when I get all squeaky and excited about things - he kind of puts me in check.

We are both planners by nature so that helps. In the beginning when I dropped the 'i want our photog and DJ booked by the new year' bomb he did get a little freaked out but then when I explained to him why and we started going to meetings he got it and I think something clicked.

There have been things we haven't seen eye to eye on but we compromise - so, so far so good lol

watch i just jinxed myself lol

lol! that is sooo great that they are so involved.. i love that he is.. he also tones me down when my lavish ideas begin! I just hope it stays that he wants to be involved.

Its good that when i freak out he clams me down and is just stronger automatically.. and vise versa!

we had our first little fight about the bridal party lol.. we both got mad walked away came back and wa slike sorrryyyy .. ha ha i hope that last also!!! lol

We're like 6 weeks in and the only thing he's done is come and looking at RH, which we booked the first day. Other than that I've been doing everything and he gets weekly check ins. He's not the type that gets involved. I won't make final decisions without him, so I shop around and then he'll come with me once I narrowed it down. I like it like that, this way, then I can get what I want

FH has been great! We are on the same page with the look and feel of the wedding. I hate negotiating prices but FH loves to so it works out!
He loves going to the bridal shows for the free food and alcohol!

TOO FUNNY.. yea everything is a debate.. but i guess at the end its better we both come to agreement with it .. the begining of ALOT OF debates of life! hope this perpairs us!

Mine comes with me to expos when he can (for the food of course) and he has come with me to all the appts so far. . I am thinking he will step out when flowers come around. But he is a great negotiator so its nice that he comes. BUT… he can’t make a decision to save his soul lol even for the STD’s it took him forever to narrow down pictures and pick a magnet.. then once we did pick one – the picture didn’t come out right (GRR) but I felt bad telling him that all the decision making that I made him to for that were almost wasted… not really b/c we are still doing them, just different magnets.. lol
My whole thing with him basically is.. I need his input!! He is great with being involved though!

We are almost a year into the planning and today is the first time FH did anything by himself...he called the Holiday Inn Express to get a copy of our contract and when he noticed it was wrong he said he'd call back and straighten it out.

He came with me to see florists but that's only because he wants roses and I hate them so he had to be there to be sure they were put in the contract

Other than that...I've done all the research and the calling and the comparing and he's shown up when requested of him.

Fh trusts my decisions on everything and knows that I am going to find us the best deal on things and find good vendors and keep us in budget. When things need to get book though he will come to the appts with me.

haha this is how it is with me and my FH....

I do all the research, narrow it down to like 4-6 vendors and then we'll go to the appts together and decide together. Right now with looking for a photog, he won't even look at their websites, he'd rather just make an appt with them - kind of annoying bc it would be a lot easier if he just told me right off the bat if he liked their pix online or not, but w/e....Like someone else said, its nice this way bc I basically can do whatever I want. Its also great that we're on the same page about the decor/feel of the wedding we're going for. We haven't had any disagreements as far as anything major relating to the wedding...we'll see how it goes down the road tho

FH with me has actually called places for me (I can't really do much of that at work, and with his scheule he is home al ot during the day) and set up appts. granted - i tell him which places to call, but he does the calling lol. I jsut feel like he doesn't give much input... thats my only gripe. wwho knows - maybe he doesn't want to be included as much as he is, but he has offered to go to these places with me lol

I too have a Groomzilla! He's SO into the details, and I could truly not care less about that right now! We are still in the process of picking out a RH and he is SO picky! He's like 'Oh, I don't like the ceiling at that place, so no'. Really? The Ceiling? This is going to be a long year and a half!

Well they looked right at me and all of a sudden all the talking came out of his mouth lol! Which is good only because i can listen more to what the say and come back with better questions. But, my mr groomzilla thinks he is soo funny he goes around telling people he doesnt let me talk because i ask stupid questions like what kind of wallpaper will be in the bathroom.. ( I NEVER ASK THOSE KIND OF THING) but i do check out the bathrooms and the room if its outdated or not!

I also reply back to his funny put downs with how am i to ask any questions when you dont even let me talk.. but im happy he is being involved i really am!

Mine is very involved as well. We're booking vendors right now and he comes with me to all of them and shows a lot of interest when we're meeting with people. He might not know what needs to get done when or what anything is called, but when I say 'I want to set up a meeting with the DJ' he's completely on board, or he might say 'That style invitation that my cousin had..I like that. Whats that called?' Now he probably won't google for hours like I do lol but I'll mention a few favor ideas that I like for example, and he'll say which ones he likes the best out of those, etc. It actually makes my job easier because the things that I am on the fence about he will have an opinion on, so that decides it for me!

I love doing everything with him and I think that seeing him get excited about something with the wedding makes me even more excited!

hahaha, he tries to put you down so no one knows how he secretly loooves wedding planning! Its funny how they think that just because they like helping out, other dudes will think we've castrated them or something
