How involved is your FH in wedding planning? (with poll)

Im getting so fustrated cause FH is sooo not excited or into planning like I am so im curious about everyone elses

My FH was initially really excited and did most of the research to start. Now he still researches but he sees all of this as a never-ending shopping trip. I know he'll be THRILLED when we go to register.

My FH is involved with everything and we both love it...we want the wedding to be a reflection of us...i'm glad that he's willing to go with me to appointments and that he actually asks questions!

FH is somewhat involved, ie i ask him his opinion, he gives it, i do what i want anyway lol. seriously he works construction and is so tired after work i dont expect him to be super excited or involved. lately i have to nag him to make calls to friends/family/groomsmen about things.

nope unfortunately he hates it i think..which is why half of my vendors aren't booked/..

I ask him to come to every meeting, and I literally force him to share his opinion prior to booking any vendors....

he exhibited enthousiasm only with picking the food, the booze, and the cake (notice a trend?) Under duress, he found the limo (which I tried and failed to do).... but this was after he put off looking for a DJ for several months, until I found one.

Basically, he's a guy. No interest in flowers, dresses or colors.... Shocking! But, if he DID find those things interesting, he very well might not care for me too much so who am I to complain?

My FH has come with me to every appointment. His level of excitement or not depends on the particular appointment. For example, he LOVED when we went to the travel agent to book the honeymoon or when we picked the menu for the wedding. He could have done without the hour and half we were at the florist and things like that. But he came along anyway and did his best to be involved. Try to find a task that he will enjoy to get him in the wedding planning mood - limos was fun for FH also. There are plenty of guy things for him to get into.

My Fh is involved in everything and loves it. Of course there are somedays where he is like enough already, but most of the them he is texting me our countdown.

For the most part, he has been helping and happy to do so... the registry stuff got him a little uptight because of the expensive taste I tend to have... >sigh< However, he planned our entire engagement party and manged to keep it a surprise for me until we walked into the restaurant after he proposed, so I knew I would have a lot of help from him for all of this.

You know what works though? Complain to his mother about how you will never be able to get a good limo/rh/florist/etc unless he gets moving soon... she'll be so worried about how it might reflect on her that she'll whip him into shape

All FH really cares about is the alcohol, food, and music... he requested that we have Sam Adams seasonal beer, wants to be introduced to Van Halen's 'So This Is Love' and he wants to do the food and cake tasting... otherwise I can do whatever I want! Haha... I have no problem there!

My lovie is very involved!! Hes enjoying it also. He brings it up almost everyday, He says ' Awe your going to be my wifey soon!' Its the cutest. I pick out the colors and all the little details. But when it comes down to main vendors hes making calls and suggestions and stopping by on his way home from work. We both didnt even have to discuss where we were giong to have the wedding, because we just both looked at each other and new!!

Every guy is diff though, I have plenty of friends with men who had no part in planning the wedding and they are very happily married and in the end the guys thanked there wives for making the day so great.

MY Fh is involved, but I have to tell him what to do. If I don't get on him about something specific, he'll do nothing.

FH is involved when I ask him his opinion.
Other than that, I am on my own.

He is getting excited though...ever since we got our marriage license.

He is coming around more as we get closer to our wedding day!

I have to say that I'm very lucky - FH has been really good with all the wedding stuff. He's come with me to every appointment, he offers his opinions (some are even good!), and he hasn't complained too much! I'm very happy that he wants to be involved - it's as much his wedding as it is mine! Well...not really, but almost!

I wish he'd be more involved. He leaves everything to me and it's pretty annoying. If it were up to him nothing would get done. He might do something only if I mention it constantly and bother him and nag him enough about it. Drives me crazy!!!

Fh wants to be involved in everything, at points it was kinda annoying, but other times it was nice, now we both kinda want to just get to the day already! He had to see everything, and honestly he kinda picked most things... but he wanted to be there, if he didn't i dont think it would have made a difference to me, I would have just done it without him, I thought the groom didn't really do much

my FH has certianly annoyed me on occassion because his idea of being involved in the planning is not helping with anything and then telling me i can't pick this vendor or order those invitations because he doesn't like them and i'm being over the top. after one too many arguements, he's come around a bit and we discuss things and look at things together now. it's hard for him to come to meetings though, because we can't afford 2 plane tickets back to NY everytime. ultimately, he's only helped pick out florist, because we decided to go home for Easter and pick a florist that weekend. but he does what he can. i think it would be a whole lot different if we were living on Long Island.
