How is everyone affording a house on LI?

To answer your original question, I don't think a lot of people here do own homes, so it isn't that everyone has a house - just those who speak about it - and that is GREAT for them, I am very happy.

FH and I are going to try but if we do, it will be a big sacrifice, and it is really hard even if prices are going down a teensy bit...
