It depends upon how many children you are having and if it is a day or night wedding.
It wasn't a wedding but when my aunt and uncle renewed their vows (40th anniversary) they had a full reception and had a clown in another room. I thought this was great as they had several dozen kids.
You could also ask if you could set up a TV/VCR in the bridal suite or another room and rent Disney movies.
If it is a night time wedding and near a hotel I would suggest hiring an adult baby sitter or two, rent a room, have them change into their pjs and then they can fall asleep until their parents come and get them.
We are only having nieces and nephews.. four girls, one boy... ages 10-5 so we are doing the big gift basket idea filled with games and toys.

I figure the music should be enough...my neices had a blast at my sisters wedding dancing the whole night. If i tried to sit them down they wouldnt!! So getting activities for them would probably be pointless
