hope this isnt too much of a personal question..but do you guys plan on paying for the wedding?
we would like to use our tax return and I think i may have to borrow a little with student loan

We are paying for most of it ....we are getting a tiny bit of help from FH parents and some from mi ne but mostly its on us.....

like matilde, we had a 2 year engagement and set up a savings plan and because we did that from the week after we got engaged we will be able to pay for everything, honeymoon included in cash. Which is something we are both REALLY proud of.
The only things that we are getting help with is my dress and accessories for the day of and fh's parents are supposed to be paying for the rehersal dinner.

My parents are helping out with the RH... FH's parents are paying for our photog/video... my aunt and uncle are paying for our flowers as a gift to us... my sister is buying my dress as a gift to me (too bad for FH!)... the rest we're paying for... tax returns, savings, FH's profit sharing, credit cards....

parents are paying for RH, flowers, my dress... FH and I are paying for dj, photography and honeymoon...we have been saving like crazy, any gifts we get, holiday checks, overtime tax returns are going straight into our bank account..

fh and i used our tax returns, our paychecks and fh is working overtime every so often. We did get about $900 for our engagement so that was used also.

we are paying ourselves with the exception of getting help with flowers and dj..and we have NO idea how we will pay it but we'll figure something out...weve been trying to save like 200-300 each every paycheck (we get paid twice a month) and hopefully by next august we will have close to the amount paid
We are doing it ourselves. Anything that comes our way is a bonus, we are praying for that to happen.

My parents gave us a very generous budget to work with. We're going to try and pay for as much as we can, but we know as well as my parents know that it won't be much. We paid for or STD's, FH is paying for the church. I hope to buy my own dress or at least pay for most of it (i won a big chunk of change on a scratch off lotto ticket at Christmas, it won't pay for the whole dress but all that money is going towards it)
We have saved a lot of money by recylcing bottles and cans. It might sound silly but we look at soda almost like a savings account now. The five cent deposit is all going towards the wedding. Not to mention the fact that no one we know recycles so they give us all their bottles and cans too. It won't be a TON of money but it is a lot.
For the honeymoon I'm going to cash in the stocks that my dad opened for me when I was younger. It was his idea to do it, otherwise I'd feel bad. My parents also said I could cash in my savings bonds if I want.

FH's parents & mine are paying a good deal of the wedding! We are lucky... If I get better deals by paying cash then I will, otherwise everything will go on CC so I can get cash back for my purchases

Uck, on our own. Although luckily my parents are giving us an eparty, so the proceeds from that will go toward the hall, and my parents are paying for my dress and flowers. But I forsee a lot of hotdog dinners in the next year for myself!

My parents are paying for most of it. His mom is paying between 5k - 10k, and we are contributing here and there with down payments for vendors, etc. We will pay for our honeymoon.....

My parents are paying for a lot of it. The rest we are paying for, probably just out of our paychecks. As of right now, we're putting out about 5-6k, so, it's not that much. And we'll probably pay for the honeymoon out of our paychecks, from the money that would normally go into savings.

fh and i are paying it on our own... as bills come. good thing all vendors have a payment plan so that helps a lot. we are not taking any loans since we are also trying to get a condo or a house. we've been lucky that all our credit cards are paid.
my parents are paying for a post-nuptial brunch just because majority of the guests are my family plus they wanted to do something.

We are paying for everything ourselves. We have opened a few short-term CD accounts so that we can earn maximum interest on our money. We will not take out any loans or pay by credit card - if we don't have the money to pay for it upfront we'll do without it, hopefully we'll be able to upgrade on a few things as we get closer and see where we're at but the last thing we want to do is start out our life together in debt over a five hour party.

My Parents are paying for:
my dress all alterations my veil all my day of acessories photog, & video
Everything else is on us which isnt alot. I know my parents are paying for more, but I forget now

We're paying everything cash. We won't go to to debt for our wedding. Keep in mind our budget is moderate, and I'm really not having an extravagant affair, our wedding w/ be intimate w/ idealy 100 guest.
