____ Will be there with bells on!
____Cannot attend

Number attending ____

So far, we've only had two issues. The one I posted about before (for those who didn't see it- my aunt checked off 'Will be there' but put '0' under number attending and then wrote in 'will send gift'.) And then one person only wrote their name. They didn't check anything off and they didn't write anything under number attending. But we've had about 50-something come back with no problems.

Mine says

The courtesy of your response is requested before April 23

____ will attend

____ regretfully declines

_____ number of attending

So far a few people haven't filled out the # of people attending which isn't a big deal unless they were invited with a guest (then we had to call to find out if they were bringing one or not). We also had one person say they are attending but put no name on it so we are investigating to see who that was.

mine is worded like Laura's

the only problems i've had, is 1 person didnt fill in their name (thank goodness for invisible ink pen!!!)

and i had my uncle fill his in with a check for 'accepts with pleasure' but then fill in '0' for 'number of guests attending' because he thought it meant How many guests is HE BRINGING WITH HIM!!! lol

and one cousin responded for 3 (his son) when no kids are invited

mine were personlaized with the guests name..

____ accepts with pleasure
_____declines with regret..

the onlyyyy issue i had was when i invited young ppl Jane and GUest

they checked off accepts, but didnt indicate that they were coming alone... so we had to call n ask them.

shockingly enough, the greek foreigners wrote the # of ppl attending instead of a check-mark...anddd a lot of them wrote the peoples names, if i jst wrote 'the apapapapopoulos family'

so they def helped out BIG time.

no matter what your repsonse cards say, u will have a few issues. dont sweat it .. just hope they all come in on time

How did you personalize it?

'two seats have been reserved in the name of Jane and John Doe' ??? I want to start on this bc I know it's going to take forever. I just need a template...

Thanks!!!

I have two for those bringing guests and my single folk.

Of course people with guests who have some type of intelligence wrote in the number of people attending. People who I know to be the dumbest people ever, just did a check. But I expected that...bunch of retardos.

Re: How is your response card worded???

Against my better judgement (FH told me his family would behave and not put down more people than the invite is addressed to...), we did:

'The favor of your reply is appreciated on or before May 24th

M ________________

___ Accepts with pleasure

___ Declines with regret

Number attending ____'

If there are any issues then he's to handle it (if it's from his side, obv).

Was that more money to personalize them? Did your invitation place do it?

I actually DIY'd my invites.

That is the benefit of doing it yourself, coz you can do whatever your heart desires. I have pics in my album if you want to check them out.

i did this same wording but i actually had a lot of problems

everyone was invited with a guest....so A LOT of people who were invited like John Smith & Guest filled it out wrong. They either wrote 0 guests attending if it was just them and not a date (instead of 1) or put 1 if they were bringing a date (instead of 2). So we basically had to call everyone and confirm if it was just them or them with a date. a little annoying.

I think it was the word guest that was confusing for those people...if i could do it over i would say either:

____ number of persons attending

or

____ number attending

We did it this way so people could just tell us who was coming from their families and/or guests. Very few people brought guests even though we didn't specify. The ones who brought dates whose names we didn't know wrote in those peoples names on the RSVP. DH wanted it very simply worded.
