after the wedding to you want to plan to have kids ....I know we should be talking about weddings, but just a curiousity I have.

We agreed to wait at least one year before trying. I wanted to wait 1 year, FH wanted to wait 2 years, so our compromise was to START trying after 1 year and let it happen when it happens.

im currently in my doctoral program for clinical psych so iwill need to put alot of time to finishing this program, like 5 more yrs (thats including internship) and starting my career so it prob wouldnt be smartest to try right away but i do want to right away. we will probably wait either like a yr or 2 and ill break in my program if needed or we'll have to wait til im done w/ my program. but whatever happens happens!!

probably 5 yrs or so. neither one of us feels the least bit ready to have kids!! maybe that'll change in a couple of years, but i don't know. we'll see.

ideally i'd like to own a house, both have amazing jobs, and me have my art therapy license and own practice so i can make my own hours.... i'd also like to have this all already so we could have kids whenever the moment was right and not have to plan them around other factors.
i want to at least wait until we're on our own (we're going to be living with my parents for a bit to save money, but will hopefully out by the wedding) and i have tenure (which could take anywhere from 3 years to 6 depending on how much i like to school i'm in next year...)
