Do it as soon as you want. We waited until we had a house so we knew what colors to register for. I registered in Jan/Feb 07 for my Sept 07 wedding.

You can register now, or at least start registering. I have been adding to my registries which I set up online on Amazon and Williams Sonoma, but they're not 'open' yet because no one really knows about them. I'm eventually going to link them to the wedding website, but until then . . . . it's fun setting them up and it can take a while so no reason not to get started!

I'm getting married in Sept this year and I waited till after the new year to register so that I saw the newest things that were out. You really can do it whenever you want though. I had some relatives pushing me to register before that so that they could get me an engagement present... but I waited.

You can do it, but keep in mind that sometimes the items you chose may get discontinued..thats why I waited till Spring time to register.
PS It was the best part of planning!

You can do it now. Someone may want to get you an engagement present. I even got stuff for xmas off my registry. hehe. Just be sure to update it if things go out of stock.

I would at least start. This way if your family & friends would like to buy you an engagement gift you will get what you want (I waited months until after we got engaged and got some things that are appreciated but that I'm not too fond of.) So, I registered for kitchen electrics, my china, flatware. Stuff like that. Bedding I waited on until recently since the styles change from season to season.

i registered back in May and my wedding isn't till June of 09.
We registered at Macys, and the reason we did it so early was cause if you have an account there, whatever you spend from then until the wedding, you get 10% back in the end. So to us it was worth it. My mom shops there all the time so i give her my card and i get the benifits! haha...
i will say not to register for seasonal things like towels and bedding. Those can change. So, i wait till 09 for that.

You can register whenever you want-just know that things will disappear off your registry and you will have to update it from time to time due to clearance and products being out of stock
