how long before your wedding date should your RSVP date be? The guy at the invitationplac said a month, but others are telling me 2 weeks...

I would do a month beacuse some people just don't RSVPon time in this way maybe by two weeks before you will have all the RSVPs

My RSVP date is March 15th and my final count date is April 8th. I gave it two weeks and a couple of days

One month is fine. Typically, there will be a handful of people who do not send in their response cards by the RSVP date. You do not want to start chasing them down the last week or two before your wedding. One month will give you enough time to finalize your guest list and figure out the seating chart.

i would do about 3-4 wks or so--sooooo many ppl will be lazy and NOT mail in the RSVP's and if you just give 2 wks, you'll be ripping your hair out with the last wk and 1/2 to go -- and having to call ppl to find out if they are coming!

A month sounds good, remember people don't always reply on time, & you havea seating chart to do. If you have a b-list maybe more time, so the B's don't know that they're B

I'm doing 6 weeks because the hotel block closes 4 weeks before the wedding date. I figure the two weeks gives me time to call those people that didn't bother to RSVP, and let them know their time to reserve a room is limited.

Three weeks to a month sound about right.
