OK - so realistically we are looking at 9-12 months before. 6 is too short?

Re: How long before your wedding do you book florist?
I just booked mine 2 weeks ago. It depends on what type of florist you use. If you go with a local florist, they will tell you 1-2 months before your wedding.

Re: How long before your wedding do you book florist?
for our Sep wedding we checked with the florist we wanted to use and he said come by in the summer. so we went in early July.
with the economy the way it is, alot of florists are hurting for business so you might want to hold off as long as possible before you give them any money so there's more chance they will still be in business come your wedding day.

Re: How long before your wedding do you book florist?
I used a neighborhood florist (not a wedding specialist) so I ordered mine about 3 months before my wedding.

Re: How long before your wedding do you book florist?
The larger florist you need to book earlier... I am more then likely going with a small local florist, and they want me to come back in December... I will be going there soon to get quoted on the CPs... (Keeping my fingers crossed!!!) lol

Re: How long before your wedding do you book florist?
Wow! I'm shocked how many of you said to book it so early in advance. We're hoping for an Oct. 2009 wedding and are still searching for the venue. I guess we'd stll have 2 months though, before it's 1 year before.

True - I'm using a local florist and she told me to come in about a month before the wedding. Although I'm a nervous ninny so I'll probably book them sooner
